A Jewish school closer to home.
OMJS is the only Jewish school offering a weekly Sunday program directly in Kanata. Families can spend less time driving across the city and more time building friendships, identity and a Jewish community close to home.
Local by design
A consistent weekly gathering place where children and parents can meet neighbours and grow a lasting west-end community.
Hebrew and Israeli culture
Modern Hebrew, music, stories and culture create natural points of connection for Israeli and Canadian Jewish families.
Open to every Jewish family
Pluralistic, welcoming learning without assumptions about affiliation, background, language or family structure.
Right-sized learning for every age.
Two age-based classrooms give children teaching that meets them where they are, while the whole Kanata program celebrates and builds community together.
SK–Grade 1
- Playful Hebrew exposure through songs, movement and repetition
- Jewish holidays, values and stories through hands-on projects
- Confidence, friendship and a joyful first connection to Jewish learning
Grades 2–4
- Hebrew reading foundations and useful modern vocabulary
- Jewish history, traditions, Israel and values through discussion and creativity
- Teamwork, curiosity and meaningful connections with Jewish peers
Two teachers in every Kanata classroom: Benjamin M. serves as the second teacher in both classes, giving students more guidance, encouragement and individual attention.
Active, creative and genuinely Jewish.
Children do not simply hear about Jewish life. They sing it, create it, taste it, question it and share it with friends.
